The story of my first ride of the season on the North Shore

Finally got my arse out for a ride.

I bet the trails are really soggy just like blighty

:-(

Generally it's just too steep for water to hang around for long.

It was pretty buff really.

The massive channels gouged out by the side of the track up the mountain make it pretty obvious that there's been a fuckload of snow this season though, pretty amazing that the trails can hold up under this sort of weather abuse every year.

I didn't make it to the upper trails to see if there's still snow (it was getting dark, and has nothing to do with having zero fitness or strength).

Sounds coolio, I doubt you've been riding much less than we have, its been bloody awful here

How's the bod holding out, you all fixed now and ready for your next trip in a meat wagon?

Take easy mate

:-p

All fixed and ready to do some more riding in this rather excellent place. Feel like I've done next to nothing of what's here, even after riding almost all of last summer.

I heard the UK's been a shit-out all winter long. It can't rain all the time though. Right?

I don't think the weather has been that bad

I've ridden more this year than I rode all of last year
