The year's flown by. Time to plan the epics and missions of 09, some of which might happen, and some not. Got to have plans.

I caught some winter sun today. After the morning's freezing hail the skies brightened and it was time for a pedal up Fromme with Jon, slowly, for a lap of 7th, Executioner, something else, Lower Crippler. A happy go lucky bunch of trails if ever I saw one.

Bike sales up. Car sales up. Buy buy buy.

Bike sales are going through the roof. Most of the sales are bikes which are basically innappropriate for the task they're bought for, according to this article in The Economist.

Schladming's over, and with it this year's cycling downhill around the world contest, and there's another Sam from the other side of the world who's starting to make people look stupid. Check out the footage on Freecaster.tv if you haven't already.

More techy tracks like this would shake things up even further. At Canberra the last half of the course was flatter than the Mountain Mayhem field.
